This title is a little misleading, but not by much. In the interview with Hugh Hewitt, Cheney says if a hypothetical person wanted to take America down, they would use the same approach as President Obama. He is not saying that Obama is intentionally bringing down America; his policies are just having that effect. With that said, I begrudgingly agree with the former Vice President, although not for the same reasons.
Cheney’s comments were in regards to Obama’s foreign policy. Cheney obviously thinks Obama is soft on national security. I, on the other hand, see Obama’s domestic policies and leadership style as being most detrimental to our country. His advocation of big government and his willingness to use his executive pen threaten the principles on which our country was founded.
On a side note, you would think Cheney would be more careful with his words. This borderline “conspiratorial” comment comes from a man that served as vice president in an administration that was mired with conspiracy theories. Just something to think about.
