Milo Yiannopoulos Has a New Job: This Is ‘the Destruction of Political Correctness’

Controversial alt-right personality Milo Yiannopoulos announced on Friday he is starting his own multimedia company in Miami, Florida, and he claims he’s already received millions of dollars in funding from investors.

According to a press release posted to Yiannopoulos’ Facebook page, he’s received $12 million in funding from unnamed investors and has hired “a seasoned media executive” to run a new multimedia company that will produce books, television shows, and manage Yiannopoulos’ appearances. The release states the team will be made up of 30 people.

“This isn’t some vanity nameplate on a personal blog,” Yiannopoulos said in the press statement. “This is a fully tooled-up talent factory and management company dedicated to the destruction of political correctness and the progressive left.”

In the release, Yiannopoulos is described as a “Media sensation, conservative celebrity and youth culture icon.”

Yiannopoulos was forced from his job as an editor at Breitbart.com in February after videos emerged showing Yiannopoulos arguing pedophiliac relationships can be appropriate under certain circumstances.

“This arbitrary and oppressive idea of consent, which totally destroys the understanding that many of us have of the complexities and subtleties and complicated nature of many relationships,” Yiannopoulos said in reference to a claim he made about 13-year-old children having sexual relationships with men. “People are messy and complex, and in the homosexual world particularly some of those relationships between younger boys and older men, the sort of coming of age relationships, the relationships in which those older men help those young boys discover who they are, and give them security and safety and provide them with love and, sort of, a rock.”

Yiannopoulos says he is starting the media company after much “soul-searching” that led him to a very important conclusion.

“I’m deeply humbled and honored, of course,” said Yiannopoulos. “Obviously, I’ve done a lot of soul-searching over the past few months and I’ve come to a conclusion.”

“I’ve realized that I’m really, really important,” he said. “There’s a war being waged out there for free speech and I’m the only one who can win it for the forces of light.”
